Yes, all the people that are important to the person in our care are involved in the support plan creation, and regular reviews. Each resident has their own activity planner that they are actively involved with creating. We offer a variety of meaningful activities, both at home and out in the community. For residents who are unable to do their own laundry, our staff will complete this for them. At Priory, we want to ensure we provide the very best service to each individual we support. The Maverick House is conveniently located in Boston just off of Beacon Street and around the corner from the Subway B, C and D green lines.

Priory Maverick House
An initial phone screening will be conducted in order to see that the resident is an appropriate candidate for the programs offered. If the resident is coming from another treatment program, clinical reports will be requested following a voluntary signed release from the resident. Site visits can be arranged for both the potential resident and families. Since this property is probably not participating in an official affordable housing program, it does not have a waiting list. Our team receive specialist staff training, designed to meet the needs of each individual we support.

The lengths of the placements that we offer at Maverick House can be medium or long-term residential, depending on the needs of each person. Our fees can vary, and are based on an assessment of each individual’s needs. Many people are eligible for financial help towards the cost of support, and this funding can be accessed by contacting your local authority. Once funding has been agreed, we will work with your local care team to put together a bespoke package of care. Please note, referrals for NHS or Local Authority funded services must come from a referring organisation. The Maverick House staff members meet regularly with residents to gain an understanding of what their needs may be in terms of life skills, their recovery program (i.e., self-help meeting attendance, current sponsor, etc.), outside clinical services and in creating a balanced behavioral schedule. At Maverick House, we have close links with Priory Supported Living West Midlands. The Strathmore provides male residents (ages 18 and over) with a comfortable, safe and structured environment in which to recover from addictive issues. While the staff at The Maverick House is available for support in this process, it is important that residents are able and willing to be accountable for their daily responsibilities. This program is a stepping stone towards living in an independent manner.
